Worker Dies After Aerial Bucket Falls Off Boom

Hazard, Neb., June 2012—After six days in a hospital, a utility worker died from injuries he suffered when the fiberglass bucket he was working in separated from the boom of a truck-mounted aerial lift and fell 25 feet to the ground. The worker had been removing hardware from utility poles when the bucket gave way. A utility spokesman said there had been no indication of trouble with the bucket.
