Worker Dies in Fall from Scissor Lift

West Palm Beach, Fla., August, 2012—A worker died when he fell more than 15 feet from a scissor lift and hit his head on the floor of a vacant building. The worker was part of a crew removing ceiling tiles and asbestos before the building is demolished. Rescuers took the worker to a hospital, where he later died. Investigators are reportedly wondering how the worker fell in spite of wearing a “safety chain.” OSHA is investigating. – www.cbs12.com
