Worker Ejected when 17-ton Concrete Panel Falls onto Boom Lift | Daily Construction News

Le Sueur, Minn.—A construction worker was injured when a 35,000-lb. precast concrete panel fell and knocked him out of the aerial boom lift he was working in. The 10’x50’ precast panel came loose from a temporary anchor and fell onto the boom lift’s turret, catapulting the worker out of the lift’s work platform. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The federal Occupation Safety and Health Administration is investigating.  – www.southernminn.com
