Xantrex Technology Inc., Vancouver, British Columbia, recently expanded its TRUECHARGE2 battery charger series with the worldwide release of its 60-amp charger. This ultra-compact, high-performance charger series now includes 20-, 40-, and 60-amp models, each designed for maximum versatility and performance.
The new 60-amp charger delivers a solid mix of performance and safety features, coupled with proven power and affordability. Thanks to its compact size, drip-proof design and easily accessible AC and DC wiring compartments, it can be mounted virtually anywhere. Just like its smaller counterparts, the 60-amp model meets global safety and regulatory standards and features low electrical interference, optimal power factor corrected, multistage charging and reverse-polarity battery protection. In addition, the temperature-compensated 60-amp charger operates in a wide range of seasonal conditions, from -20°C to +65°C*. The TrueCharge 2 Battery Charger Series can be used internationally due to its auto-ranging AC input voltage (90 – 265 Vac, 47-63 Hz) capability.
The TrueCharge 2 60-amp model is priced at $630 MSRP. All models in the series meet or exceed CSA, CE, FCC and UL regulations.
In other company news, Xantrex Technology has appointed Will Tomkinson as sales manager for the company’s North American mobile product line. In his new position, Tomkinson is responsible for servicing and developing both OEM and distributor accounts in the commercial and industrial segments including EMS, material handling, work truck up-fitting, equipment OEM, and fleet management. Prior to joining the company, he worked in power electronic sales in the industrial, marine, and commercial markets, as well as in marine appliance sales, servicing both OEM and distribution customers. He has also worked in the passenger rail, transport truck and mineral exploration markets.
