Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) will host its Regional Crane Operator Rodeo Qualifier Event at the union’s training center, located on more than 300 acres about 50 miles south of Chicago, Ill. The regional qualifier is open to both union and non-union operators. Refreshments and lunch will be provided to participants.

A portion of the proceeds collected from operators participating in the Regional Rodeo Qualifier will benefit the Local 150 Food Bank, which has fed more than 6,200 Local 150 member families and others in need since 2009.

Local 150 represents more than 22,000 men and women in its three state jurisdictions of Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. The 342,000 sq. ft William E. Dugan training center boasts indoor training areas, almost 200 pieces of heavy equipment, 30 classrooms, construction material testing lab, state-of-the-art welding facility, equipment simulator lab, a 200-seat auditorium, and much more. Also available at the training center is the Operating Engineers Certification Program, which includes practical and written exams for mobile, tower, and overhead crane operators.
