Hyster Co.'s has launched a new comprehensive mobile lift truck app available for Apple iOS and Android devices through iTunes and the Android Google Play Store. Features of the new app include a product selector that helps customers choose the best product for their application, detailed information, technical guides, images and brochures on Hyster lift truck models, and a Hyster dealer locator that enables users to search for a dealer by zip code, state, and county, or by using the device's location services.
Hyster also provides special notice of lease and product promotions through the app, and users are able to create an account and enter their basic contact information for Hyster to provide special offers and events in the user’s local area.
“Hyster trucks are known for their toughness and intelligence, so it’s no surprise that we felt it was important to develop and equip the industry with this new technology,” said Jonathan Dawley, president of Hyster Distribution. “Our app is able to inform the customer about which applications certain products are best suited for, while also delivering a wealth of information on each product—from our motorized pallet jacks to our shipping container handlers. Our industry leading Hyster dealer network is at the user’s fingertips as well, making this a very powerful and intelligent tool for the lift truck industry.”
The app was developed by Hyster using SnAPPii, a cloud-based mobile app development platform.
