The highly anticipated 2023 Utility Expo will take place from Sept. 26 to 28 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
This biennial show has firmly established its prominence in the utility sector by offering comprehensive insights into the latest industry technologies, innovations, and trends.
Known for its engaging equipment test drives and interactive product demonstrations, the Utility Expo offers attendees a hands-on opportunity to explore cutting-edge machinery.
That immersive approach allows professionals to make informed decisions and stay up to date with industry advancements.
Bringing together over 850 exhibitors and offering 50 educational sessions, the Utility Expo is a hub for networking, learning, and professional development.
With a focus on continuous education, the event addresses the evolving needs of utility professionals and construction contractors by updating its session offerings based on valuable attendee feedback.
As a bonus, the 2023 edition will feature an impressive 6% increase in exhibit space compared to the previous record-breaking show in 2021.
A notable addition to this year’s show is the Safety Symposium, featuring 10 sessions and certifications from the esteemed American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
This program aims to enhance participants’ knowledge of traffic safety while on the job, allowing contractors to explore emerging safety technologies and earn ATSSA Flagger certification.
“This is a great opportunity for contractors to bring their crew to hear about emerging safety technologies or to become a traffic control technician and earn an ATSSA Flagger certification, while also checking out the latest equipment on the show floor,” said John Rozum, show director.
Besides the educational sessions, the 2023 expo brings back the popular Jobsite from Planet Underground.
There, attendees can participate in informative demonstrations covering topics like Predictive Analytics Software, Electromagnetic (EM) locating, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), Underground RFID Marking Devices, and GIS Mobile Applications.
To help attendees connect, the expo is introducing the Community Zone experience in the North Lobby.
That space offers professionals a place to gather, recharge, and engage with peers. Daily events featuring presentations, live music, and local product samples will also be available.
Another expo highlight is the free “Utility Rocks” street party on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a lively performance by The Crashers, a local rock band, at Louisville’s renowned Fourth Street LIVE! outdoor stage.
