The Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) announces 2014 Committee Week, Feb. 24 – 26, 2014 at the J.W. Marriott in New Orleans.
Committee Week is SAIA’s mid-year meeting in which its 11 councils meet to work on current projects, discuss issues facing the council’s segment in the industry, evaluate goals and objectives, and prepare for the upcoming year. Each council is responsible for the development and implementation of affairs consistent with the product and/or service applicable to each council.
SAIA councils include: Aerial Work Platforms, Construction Hoists, Fall Protection, Permanent Installation, Plank and Platforms, Industrial, International, Mast Climbing, Supported Scaffolds, Shoring and Suspended Scaffolds.
Representatives from all the major sectors of the industry come to this event. Manufacturers, rental houses, attorneys, consulting firms, suppliers, distributors, and many more attend Committee Week. During each council’s meetings, they will be discussing any unfinished business (current projects, updates from previous meetings, etc) and will be opening up new business (new projects, recent issues, etc).
In addition to the 11 council meetings the SAIA will offer their training classes.
