The Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) has announced the winners of its 2011 Project of the Year Awards: Alliance Riggers/ Constructors Ltd., V & M Erectors, Inc., and LPR Construction Co.  All eligible projects were required to have been topped out in 2011 and completed without any significant accidents or injuries. These companies received their awards at the 2012 SEAA Convention & Trade Show in Myrtle Beach, SC in March. SEAA salutes these fine companies on their outstanding work.

Alliance Riggers/Constructors, located in El Paso, Texas, won in Class I (up to $500,000) for their work on the University of Texas El Paso Sun Bowl Pedestrian Overpass.

In Class II ($500,000 to $1 million), V & M Erectors, Inc. of Pembroke Pines, Florida received the award for work completed on the Dixie Highway Flyover project.

LPR Construction Co. of Loveland, Colorado was recognized for its work in Class III ($1 million or greater) for the installation of the Retractable Roof on the newly built Miami Marlins Ballpark.

The Steel Erectors Association of America is dedicated to advancing the common interests and needs of all companies engaged in building with steel.  The association promotes workplace safety, provides education and training programs for steel erector trades, develops industry standards, and promotes cooperation with others on activities that impact the commercial construction business.
