Tire Fill Companies Merge to Create Comprehensive Flatproofing Brand

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Pathway Polymers and Alpharetta, Ga.-based Urethane Holdings LLC have announced an agreement that will create a more complete “one stop shop” for TyrFil and other flatproofing products.

Effective immediately, UH will contribute the majority of its assets to a new English incorporated company called Pathway Holdings Limited. Vita Investments North America Limited will contribute its shares in Pathway Polymers as well. The new company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Pathway Polymers, will operate under the name Pathway Polymers. Its combined business will supply sales of over $50 million and employ over 50 people. UH currently holds the patents for “Recycler” tire fill machines to deliver tire fill to tires and wheel assemblies for both lightweight and heavyweight product. These tire fill machines and the additional range of tire sealant and puncture protection products will enable Pathway Polymers to offer one of the largest complete lines of flatproofing products and tire fill machines in the industry.

These machines offer commercial tire dealers and OEMs advanced tire fill technology and a way to significantly reduce the cost of flatproofing a tire and wheel assembly. “There are significant synergies between the companies and benefits will be derived by combining the product offerings, the patented tire fill machine technology and marketing knowledge of both companies,” said Nigel Hay, chairman of Pathway Polymers and CEO of the compounding division of the Vita Group. “Additionally, Pathway Polymers has developed a proprietary tire fill, part of its TyrFil range, for use in UH's patented AutoFill 'Recycler' and TrioFill 'Recycler' tire fill machines. Pathway Polymers will continue to aggressively market and develop their other well known Urethane brands of Por-A-Thane, Por-A- Mold and Por-A-Kast products as well as the Master Works acrylic modified gypsum product, which has been so well received in the interior architectural market.”

“I believe that the world's commercial tire dealers and the industrial and construction equipment OEMs will be very excited to learn that UH and Pathway Polymers have joined forces,” said the new CEO of Pathway Polymers, Joseph Danules. “They are looking for a tire fill company that is a one stop shop,' is global, has the capital resources, technology and people to offer them quality products at a saving in this environment of escalating costs.”
