The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) released the schedule for IPAF Innovate 2018, its new, interactive event set for Oct. 16-17 in the Houston area, with MEWP and MCWP industry leaders facilitating 10 collaborative workshops where attendees will work together to address common problems.

Accès Location+ announced its founder and president, Harold Dubé, is retiring at the end of 2018, and Luc Bertrand, vice president at the aerial equipment company, will succeed him.

Dubé will mentor Bertrand until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition and will serve as an adviser to the new president after that.

Dubé said he is pleased to leave the company, which offers a wide variety of services for aerial equipment inclduing rentals, training, sales, transportation, maintenance, and repairs, in good hands.

Lube-A-Boom Introduces Nonconductive Lubricant Designed for Utility Market

Lube-A-Boom introduced a nonconductive lubricant for lifting and access equipment, designed to be safe for users in the utility market.

Attendees at last year’s ICUEE expressed a need for a product that would help protect workers who are in the vicinity of electrical utilities and other charged properties, leading to the development of Lube-A-Boom’s new Insulator lubricant.

Able Buys Mobile Lifts, Making it Fifth Northeast Location

Able Equipment Rental Inc. of New York purchased the aerial equipment assets and service operations of Mobile Lifts Inc., in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

The location will become the newest branch of Able Equipment Rental, its fifth location in the Northeast. Able will retain most of the Mobile Lifts staff and plans to grow the team immediately. 

Able's newest branch is 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia and accessible by several major roads and highways. The facility is well-situated to service the King of Prussia area and  deliver equipment throughout the region.

Haulotte’s Diagnostic App Now on Google Play, App Store

Haulotte’s Diag, a free diagnostic application that allows wireless access for maintenance technicians to program, troubleshoot, calibrate, and generally diagnose nearly all Haulotte machines with their own devices, is now available for download on Apple and Android devices. 

The app aims to reduce intervention time in the event of breakdown and improve productivity by allowing technicians to find the right repair solution in all circumstances.

H&E Moves to New Colorado Location

H&E Equipment Services Inc. (H&E) has relocated its branch in Fort Collins, Colorado, to a new facility at 1429 East Mulberry St.

The full-service branch supports customers in northern Colorado, southeastern Wyoming, and western Nebraska.

The 16,000-sq.-ft. facility sits on 4 acres with a fully fenced and paved yard, offices, parts warehouse, and a repair shop with eight pull-through bays.  At this facility, they can repair a larger volume of general industrial and construction equipment.

NexSys Battery Enhancements Reduce Charge Time for High-Capacity Lift Trucks

READING, Pa. – EnerSys expanded its NexSys battery line, designed for Class I, II, and III applications including high-capacity lift trucks, to include configurations that can fast-charge in just under an hour. 

The NexSys line now features proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, which can be charged to work for up to 16 hours.

The batteries provide energy throughput of up to 160% in a 24-hour period. They also offer extended life cycles exceeding 1,500 cycles at 60% Depth of Discharge (DOD).
