2019 LLEAP winners

What are the standout new products in the access industry that you need to know about?

Lift and Access is proud to reveal its winners of the 14th annual Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Plaftorms (LLEAP) Awards, which recognize the most innovative new products in the access industry.

The awards honor eight products in four categories, including aerial lifts, material handlers, features/essential components, and aftermarket support products & services.

The ReachMaster Bluelift B35-EB is designed specifically to address applications in shopping malls, airports, hospitals, and museum locations, or any location where operator needs to go up, over, and out from a handrail and then descend to work below level. The compact lift does this through an elevator system, mounted to the jib. Once an operator swings the unit out over a handrail, the jib is lowered to the vertical position, creating a system that runs along the jib like an extension and elevator for the basket.

A crawler-mounted boom lift was recently used to inspect stonework and stained glass at the Canterbury Cathedral in the United Kingdom.

The cathedral is the Mother Church of the Anglican Communion and the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and it required an inspection survey in preparation for the proposed conservation. This included the Nave roof and West Towers, together with stone masonry to the upper Nave buttresses and conservation of the Nave’s stained glass windows.
