May 9, 2019 – Skyjack partnered with long-term customer Battlefield Equipment Rental to give setup crews a lift at the 30th Skills Ontario Competition.

The two-day event kicked off at the Toronto Congress Centre and includes over 2,400 competitors and more than 500,000 sq. ft. of action and demonstrations.

Skyjack signed an exclusive deal with MacFarlands Industrial to be the sole supplier of all DC electric scissor lifts for their new Moncton, New Brunswick equipment rental location.

MacFarlands has been renting throughout Atlantic Canada for over 50 years, and, according to the company, is excited to stock their fleet with Canadian-made aerial equipment.

Leading aerial work platform manufacturer, Snorkel, will bring three of its latest product launches to The Rental Show 2018, taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana, this week.

On its 3,000 sq. ft. (278sqm) booth in the Construction Hall at the show, Snorkel will give rental companies the opportunity to see some its latest innovations ‘in the metal’, including the Snorkel S3215L lightweight electric scissor lift, the Snorkel TM16E telescopic mast lift, and a new compact telehandler, the Snorkel SR5719.

Two Skyjack SJIII 3219 electric scissor lifts are working at the deepest clean laboratory in the world. At Vale Creighton Mine in Sudbury, Ontario, scientists perform experiments on dark matter, neutrinos, low-background counting and genomics. The SNOLAB laboratory is 1.24 miles (2 km) underground in order to prevent cosmic radiation from reaching the labs. For the last three years, the scissor lifts have helped construct new specialized experiment sites; construction is expected to continue through 2017.

Low-level access lifts continue to be popular due to growth in new construction, renovation, maintenance, and industrial applications.
Users’ need for safety and productivity are also helping raise the popularity of low-level access lifts that are so compact they can even maneuver into some service closets.
Although North American laws do not yet say that contractors cannot use ladders in construction, Justin Kissinger, marketing manager for Custom Equipment, which makes Hy-Brid brand lifts, says that many are turning to low-level access lifts as a safer and more productive way to work at low height.

Subcontractors on Minnesota Vikings Stadium Project Rely on Skyjack Lifts

Skyjack expects to have more than 200 Skyjack aerial work platforms on the project to complete the new Minnesota Vikings stadium in time for the 2016 football season. “Construction on the stadium is just starting, so we do not have all units on site yet but we anticipate having well over 200 by fall 2015,” said Don Beaupre, owner of Beaupre Aerial, the rental company working with subcontractors on the new Viking Stadium project.
