Linamar Corporation’s Skyjack division returned to the University of Guelph’s Arboretum in early October to help protect rare and endangered trees.

This time, University of Guelph hosted a special event and invited students and volunteers to help collect seeds alongside a special pink Skyjack SJ63 AJ articulating boom lift for the “living gene bank”, part of the Rare Woody Plants of Ontario Program, saving rare and endangered tree species.

Combining a working height of 69'7" (21.2 m), a horizontal reach of 40' (12.2 m), and an up and over clearance of 27'6" (8.4 m), Skyjack's SJ63 AJ articulating boom lift is designed for versatility. Superior positive traction and terrainability is provided by the axle-based 4WD used in many of Skyjack's powered access product designs, which accounts for a proven low maintenance, rugged, and reliable drive train. 360 degree turret rotation and zero tail swing allow for flexible operation of this boom lift in tight locations.
