United Rentals Names Former Riwal CEO to New Executive Role

United Rentals appointed Norty Turner to the newly created role of senior vice president of services and advanced solutions.

Turner, the former CEO of Riwal, will oversee four business units, including United Academy, customer equipment service, customer fleet solutions, and advanced solutions. His role will have a distinctive focus on building out service and solution platforms to better support customers.

IPAF Partners with United Rentals to Offer MEWP Training

International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has announced a ground-breaking agreement with member firm United Rentals Inc., owner of the largest powered access rental fleet in the world, to offer certified mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) operator training through its United Academy blended learning platform. 

Senior training managers from United Academy worked with IPAF to closely align the company’s training content with the globally recognized IPAF MEWP operator course.
