Empire Crane Kicks Off Regional Qualifying Rodeo Events

Empire Crane Kicks Off Regional Qualifying Rodeo Events

Last week, Empire Crane held a successful Regional Crane Rodeo at its Syracuse, N.Y., facility. On August 23, 22 operators joined the crane operator competition while hundreds of spectators watched. In addition to the regional rodeo, Empire hosted an open house for customers, providing them with a barbecue lunch.

The top two crane operators at the event were Gregg Eldridge from Payne’s Crane of Binghamton, N.Y., who finished first, and Sean Noonan with Advanced Crane Services of Ringwood, N.J., who finished second. Participants had to operate either a Terex T340-1 or BT70100 and complete several obstacles.

The top two finishers will be flown to Orlando to compete in the 2012 Crane Operator Rodeo National Championship, which will take place Oct. 27-28.

Empire would like to thank all of those in attendance at the event.
