Brigade Electronics Launches New Safety Devices at Bauma

Brigade Electronics has introduced four new safety products designed to enhance operator awareness and improve jobsite safety. The products were unveiled at bauma 2025 and add to the company’s established range of vehicle cameras, sensors and alarms for the lifting and construction sectors.

Among the new technologies is the AI Box, which upgrades standard vehicle cameras into human detection systems. The two-channel unit connects existing cameras and monitors, delivering real-time visual and audio alerts when a person is detected.

The Backsense radar system provides object detection at distances of up to 197 feet with a 140-degree horizontal detection range. It supports linking up to eight radar units and integrates via CAN Gateway, making it suitable for rugged construction environments.

Brigade also introduced a Thumbs-up display, aimed at ground personnel safety. The unit features an anti-glare screen with frosted technology to prevent sun reflection. It activates only when the machine’s handbrake is engaged or hydraulics are locked, confirming safe approach conditions.

Additionally, the company announced a partnership with Topcon, integrating Brigade’s AI camera with Topcon’s Opus B6 10-inch HD monitor. The system provides high-resolution imaging to give operators improved visibility of pedestrians and blind spots.

Founded in 1976 and based in Kent, England, Brigade Electronics has been a long-time innovator in vehicle safety systems, evolving from reversing alarms to advanced AI-enabled technologies.
