Caldwell Expands Direct Factory Representation in Canada

The Caldwell Group Inc. has implemented a supply chain-focused restructure aimed at strengthening direct factory representation across Canadian markets. The changes divide Canada into defined regions supported by Caldwell personnel providing sales, training and technical assistance for lifting and rigging equipment.

Brian Sochocki (pictured bottom right) will represent Eastern Canada, Darrin Noe (bottom left) will cover Central Canada, Jeff Ferchen (top left) will oversee Ontario and Jay Schroeder (top right) will manage Western Canada. Together, the team will support Caldwell, Renfroe and RUD product lines, with additional backing from customer service staff and internal product specialists for complex applications.

Jeff Ferchen, director of business development, said the updated regional structure allows for broader market coverage and closer collaboration with distributors and end users.

“We will now be able to have two Caldwell direct sales people cover each half of the market — Brian and Jeff for the eastern provinces; and Jay and Darrin for the west, incorporating major distributor and end users accounts with increased regularity,” Ferchen said. “We will provide product training and offer technical support, along with joint sales calls, focused on our marketing and product initiatives.”

Under the new framework, Sochocki will serve New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Noe will be responsible for Saskatchewan and Manitoba, while Schroeder will lead British Columbia and Alberta. Ferchen will maintain oversight of Ontario. Each territory includes a combination of distributors, crane dealers, end users and OEM accounts.

The restructure supports Caldwell’s full range of lifting solutions, including below-the-hook lifters, construction and mill duty lifters, Renfroe clamps and RUD lifting points. Caldwell will continue working with the RUD Group to align sales and marketing activities across North America for RUD material handling and lifting devices.

Ferchen said the expanded presence provides improved visibility into evolving market conditions.

“We now have direct factory representation to help our distributors focus on products, as well as gain a deeper understanding for what projects and markets are growing versus contracting, so we know where to spend more of our time to help our partners,” he said.

Caldwell partners can access the company’s online rep locator to identify their regional contacts.
