At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, the largest construction trade show in North America, organizers partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise over $112,000 for mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
The partnership featured educational sessions, a dedicated AFSP booth and a Wellness Lounge for attendees. Christine Yu Moutier with AFSP addressed the Ground Breakers Stage audience on the growing focus on mental health in construction and the role employers and co-workers play in reducing stigma.
Attendees were able to access resources, learn about suicide prevention programs and explore ways companies can promote mental health initiatives within their operations. The Wellness Lounge provided a space for attendees to step away from the show floor and recharge while accessing critical mental health information.
“The construction industry is built on people, and supporting their well-being is essential to the future of our workforce,” said Dana Wuesthoff, show director for CONEXPO-CON/AGG. “Our partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention helped bring important conversations about mental health to the forefront while also providing meaningful resources for the men and women who power this industry every day.”
Funds raised support AFSP’s mission to save lives and provide research, advocacy, and support for those impacted by suicide. CONEXPO-CON/AGG will return March 13 to 17, 2029, in Las Vegas.
