Crane Hot Line and Lift and Access Continue to Publish

Dear readers, clients, suppliers, and friends:

When the COVID-19 virus began to sweep across North America, Heartland Communications Inc., like all businesses, had to make some quick but difficult decisions.

On March 25, the company decided to suspend publishing all 38 of its specialty publications serving aviation, agriculture, industrial, and construction readers across the U.S. and Canada. That, unfortunately, included Crane Hot Line and Lift and Access, two of the leading magazines that bring vital information to readers in the construction, lifting, and material handling industries.

It immediately became apparent that in times of crises like these, readers have an even greater need for the kind of information that Crane Hot Line and Lift and Access deliver. So although the company is now operating with a skeleton crew, it continues to publish Crane Hot Line and Lift and Access, as well as its weekly Lifting 360 electronic newsletter. Heartland is also still bringing readers news on its websites, www.cranehotline.com and www.liftandaccess.com.

In fact, Crane Hot Line has not missed an edition. The printed April book has been mailed to readers and can also be downloaded in digital format from the homepage of www.cranehotline.com. The May edition is in the works, and Heartland looks forward to publishing each scheduled edition from now on.

Likewise, the May-June edition of Lift and Access is in the works, and Heartland plans to continue producing it so readers can benefit from the vital and accurate information and insights it provides to the access industry.

We remain committed to giving readers relevant, accurate information and ideas that help them stay up to date on industry developments and to do their work more effectively, efficiently, and profitably.

The North American economy, including the construction, lifting, and access industries, have weathered many difficult times in the past. They will survive the COVID-19 challenge, too. Crane Hot Line and Lift and Access will be there through it all with the industries they serve.

Keep sending your news to news@cranehotline.com and news@liftandaccess.com, and for the immediate future, contact Pat Sharkey (515-574-2117, pats@hlipublishing.com) or Mike Larson (480-329-5773, mike.larson@hlipublishing.com) with questions or story ideas.

Best wishes for health and safety,

The team at Heartland Communications
