E-Z Construction, a Kentucky-based specialty site contractor, has implemented a digital equipment tracking system from Tenna to improve visibility and management of its growing fleet of nearly 40 assets. The company provides industrial and commercial site work development, design-build services and concrete construction, using equipment that includes excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, generators, pumps and small hand tools.
As operations expanded across multiple jobsites, the company needed a more effective way to track equipment movement and usage. Paper records for equipment tracking had become increasingly difficult to manage and the company also needed clearer insight into where equipment was located and who was using it at any given time.
With the adoption of Tenna’s platform, E-Z Construction centralized equipment tracking and improved visibility across jobsites. The system allows users to monitor equipment locations and helps field teams plan movement between sites. It also reduced the time spent locating equipment by replacing manual coordination methods with a digital record of last known positions.
The company uses the system to track equipment hours, supporting internal checks and improving accountability in reporting by job foremen. This helps address discrepancies that can occur when daily logs are recorded manually.
Geofencing features are also used to support job costing and equipment utilization tracking. By defining multiple geofenced areas within larger jobsites, E-Z Construction can monitor equipment activity across specific locations and improve cost tracking accuracy.
