Elliott Equipment Company is launching a major redesign of its 18-ton-capacity 1881TM tractor-mounted boom truck model at ConExpo 2017.
The redesigned 1881TM boom truck features 18-ton maximum lifting capacity and Elliott’s proven five-section 81-ft. telescopic boom with a compact stowed length and a 91-ft. tip height.
The new 1881TM includes integrated out-and-down main outriggers that can used at full or mid-span lengths. That allows easier setup in a variety of terrain and jobsite conditions.
Along with new out-and-down main outriggers, the 1881TM incorporates many significant new features:
• Elliott’s Hydraulic Load Limiter (HLL) overload-alert system with full- and mid-span capacity charts
• Wireless anti-two-block (A2B) system that allows simple maintenance
• Front-bumper-winch stow control to reduce teardown times
• High-visibility operator stations
• Electronic foot-throttle controls
• Proprietary boom wear-pad design for extremely smooth operation
• Optional outrigger short-jacking system
The 1881TM boom truck is designed to serve a range of applications including home construction, truss delivery, pipeline service, and more.
The boom can stow over the cab to provide space behind the crane for connecting a trailer if the tractor has a 5th-wheel attachment, or it can stow rearward over a flatbed.
Like all Elliott cranes, the 1881TM carries Elliott’s two-year parts-and-labor warranty, and a lifetime structural warranty.
