Registration is open for The Utility Expo 2025, a leading trade show for utility and construction professionals, returning October 7–9 to the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

With more than 900 companies expected to exhibit, the event will showcase a wide range of equipment, tools and technologies across electric, gas, telecom and water sectors. Known for hands-on demonstrations and real-world applications, the expo provides a valuable look at both established and emerging solutions.

New features for 2025 include the HDD Rodeo, a horizontal directional drilling contest spanning eight competitive lanes. Prizes will include both advanced equipment packages and significant cash awards. The event also strengthens its safety emphasis in collaboration with the Common Ground Alliance, which promotes underground damage prevention and safe digging practices.

In a move to support workforce well-being, the show will feature a partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to address mental health awareness in the industry. Also returning is the NUCA Equipment Operators Challenge, featuring entertaining hands-on events like a pipe placement challenge, cornhole, soccer and more.

Educational content is expanding this year with more field classrooms, a lunch symposium and a co-located professional development event called Power to ADVANCE Women in Utilities.

Show Director Brianne Somers said, “The Utility Expo has earned its reputation as the premier gathering place for utility professionals and contractors who are serious about growing their businesses and their expertise.”

Louisville’s central location and accessible amenities make it an ideal host city for the expo. The event is organized by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), which represents a wide range of equipment makers and industry partners across North America.
