GripEdge Tools has introduced the 1/4-inch Drive Standard Flex Head 7/16 Hex Low Profile Dual Action Driver Ratchet (Part No. DFRA6572), expanding its line of tools for technicians working in confined maintenance environments.
The ratchet is designed for applications where limited clearance makes conventional tools difficult to use, including industrial maintenance, aerospace, automotive and fabrication work.
The DFRA6572 measures 6.5 inches in length and is made from chrome molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel. It features a 72-tooth ratchet mechanism with a 5-degree swing arc to allow fastener engagement in restricted work areas. A reversible switch provides bidirectional operation.
Its pivoting head moves through a range of 0 to 180 degrees, enabling technicians to approach fasteners from multiple angles. GripEdge said the reduced head size further improves access in low-clearance applications.
The ratchet also incorporates a proprietary pass-through retention cavity that works with GripEdge Dual Action Drivers to reduce tool stack height and improve clearance during assembly work.
"The DFRA6572 represents everything GripEdge stands for — solving real problems that professionals face every day on the job," said Jared Kukucka, director of sales at Grip Tooling Technologies. "When you're working in a tight engine bay or a confined aerospace assembly, every millimeter matters. This ratchet was built specifically for those moments."
GripEdge said the tool is designed for long-term serviceability with replaceable gear assemblies, exposed fastener points and available repair kits.
The DFRA6572 carries an MSRP of $79.99 and is available through authorized distributors and directly from GripEdge Tools. The company backs the tool with a limited lifetime warranty covering manufacturing and workmanship defects.
