At The Rental Show, JLG Industries Inc. introduced a new scissor lift, three low-level access lifts, and its largest compact crawler boom lift.

The new 1932R electric scissor lift features a platform height of 19 ft. and platform capacity of 550 lbs. Designers considered lower cost of ownership and serviceability features during the 1932R’s development. The unit includes all-steel swing-out component trays, and components are laid out to be easily accessed and inspected.

The 1932R also features an improved battery charger that allows a technician to program changes that optimize charge curves for conventional wet or AGM batteries using a USB port. This optimizes the charge for the battery being used, which extends battery life and improves performance, while increasing flexibility.

Other features include an active pothole protection system with fewer moving parts, a new platform extension, an all-steel platform, steel component doors, and thicker rubber tires.A recessed panel protects ground controls from damage during lift operation.

Two non-powered vertical lifts also made their debut. The EcoLift 50 and EcoLift 70 are virtually maintenance-free, due to its stored power lift/lower system that requires no batteries, hydraulics, oil, or controls.

The EcoLifts provide platform heights of 5 and 7 ft., and the lift can be moved up and down via a turn handle. They are rated for 330 lbs. With no hydraulics or motors, both lifts operate quietly. Measuring just under 28 in. wide, the lifts roll through standard doorways on caster wheels and maneuver around all areas of a facility. Made of construction-grade materials, the rental-ready lifts offer unlimited lift cycles and can be used 24/7.

A new push-around mast lift—the JLG 830P—uses hydraulics to lift operators to a platform height of 8 ft. and offers workers a generous 29” x 39” platform. Like the EcoLifts, the 830P features a lightweight design that makes it easy for operators to push the lift into position, and heavy-duty, auto-lock wheels on elevation provide a secure base.

Also new at the show, the X770AJ compact crawler boom lift is the largest boom of this type that JLG offers. It has a 78-ft. platform height and a 500-lb. unrestricted capacity, as well as an articulating jib that provides a 43-ft. horizontal reach and lithium battery option.

Self-leveling outriggers level the machine, and non-marking rubber tracks minimize its impact on sensitive flooring and landscaping, increasing its versatility.

The X770AJ also features a narrow chassis and a narrow outrigger setting, making it easy to fit through doorways and gates. Transporting the boom is also easy, thanks to fork lift pockets and dedicated lift hooks. In addition, the X770AJ is designed for lower cost of ownership with hoods that open wide, making them easy to service, and a LCD panel that communicates in full language – rather than fault codes – for faster troubleshooting and reduced need for on-site service calls.
