Lift-A-Loft is highlighting the capabilities of its AMR40 Series, a mobile elevated work platform designed to provide fall arrest protection and elevated access for maintenance applications in the railroad industry and other industrial environments.

Originally developed for railroad maintenance, the AMR40 Series is designed to provide access to the tops of locomotives, railcars and other elevated work areas. The platform features a compact footprint intended to allow operators to maneuver alongside rail equipment, elevate to the desired working height, rotate the platform into position and step through a front entry gate onto the work surface.

According to Lift-A-Loft, this approach reduces the need to climb fixed ladders or stairs and eliminates reliance on overhead tie-off systems installed as part of maintenance facility infrastructure.

The AMR40 Series includes integrated overhead anchor points that are tested and certified for fall arrest, providing protection for operators who need to work outside the platform. The company also states the unit remains fully maneuverable at any platform height, allowing operators to reposition along the length of a locomotive or railcar without lowering the platform between moves.

In addition to railroad maintenance, Lift-A-Loft says the AMR40 Series is designed for a range of industrial applications requiring elevated access in confined or difficult-to-reach work areas. These applications include aircraft manufacturing and assembly, heavy equipment and large vehicle repair, industrial fabrication and welding and manufacturing and production facilities.

The company said the platform is intended to provide a combination of mobility, fall protection and productivity for maintenance operations across multiple industries.
