Companies that want to enter their innovative new products in the 2017 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) competition have until June 15, 2017, to complete the online entry form.
Organized by Lift and Access magazine, the LLEAP awards recognize new or updated products whose innovation advances the state of the industry and delivers benefits to users.
Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts, and the two top-scoring products in each category are recognized both in the print edition of Lift and Access and on the www.liftandaccess.com website. Those top scorers also receive an engraved trophy honoring the accomplishment. In addition, winners can highlight the accomplishment in their public relations and advertising.
The five categories of products are: aerial work platforms, material handlers, cranes, OEM developed features or features developed by suppliers for OEMs, and aftermarket products.
Past winners include a wide variety of products and services ranging from 180-ft. boom lifts, five-axle mobile cranes, and 70,000-lb.-capacity telehandlers, to training programs, personal rescue devices, and a hall-effect controller the size of a quarter.
Innovation and user benefits, not size, are most important in LLEAP.
To be eligible for the 2017 LLEAP competition, products must have been introduced to North America between June 1, 2016, and May 31, 2017, and be available for purchase in North America now. Products that were introduced into North America during the eligible period but are not yet available for purchase here can be entered in the 2018 LLEAP awards.
Entries are made on line at www.liftandaccess.com/lleap any time day or night. The first product entered by a company carries a $450 fee. Each subsequent entry is $250.
Deadline for entering is June 15, 2017, and winners will be featured in the November-December 2017 edition of Lift and Access.
