MEC Aerial Work Platforms Names Lawson Marketing Manager

MEC Aerial Work Platforms has hired Barry Lawson as its new marketing manager.

Lawson has extensive knowledge in both marketing, sales and product development.

His primary focus is leading the launch of new products, overseeing MEC’s website and social media platforms, and organizing MEC’s presence at trade shows.

Lawson comes to MEC with more than 20 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing industries.

“We are elated to have Barry on board.  His track record in marketing, product development, and sales only strengthens MEC’s go-to-market strategy,” said Deanne Hix, MEC’s vice president, sales operations and strategic planning. “Barry will bring that same strength, knowledge, and customer focus to MEC.  He understands our commitment to innovation and maximizing the value proposition for our customers.”

Lawson began his career by working in the transportation Industry in Texas before moving to California. In California he worked for Pelco and then Pelco by Schneider Electric. He started as field sales manager before being promoted to engineering manager and finally global marketing manager. Lawson’s marketing duties included international business development. Prior to joining MEC, he was product manager for a company specializing in automated labeling technology.
