APEX by BendPak has added the AB28 digital wheel balancer to its equipment lineup, with applications ranging from passenger vehicle and light truck wheels to performance and specialty wheels.
The AB28 is designed for smaller service operations and garages and incorporates digital sensors, automatic braking, LED positioning markers, and a touch-pad interface.
Balancing and Operating Features
The AB28's digital sensor technology provides balance readings accurate to hundredths of an ounce. A direct-axis drive system rotates the wheel smoothly to measure imbalance forces, while cycle times range from five to seven seconds.
LED positioning markers are designed to assist with weight placement, while tiered indicators support split-weight and behind-the-spoke applications. Automatic braking positions the wheel for the balancing procedure.
“The APEX AB28 improves daily workflow with its speed, accuracy, and reliability,” says Tyler Rex, BendPak senior director of marketing. “It delivers reliable performance for smaller shops and home garages seeking quick, repeatable balance results without unnecessary complexity. Plus, it’s backed by BendPak engineering and industry-leading warranty and support.”
The wheel balancer uses multidirectional quartz load sensors to measure imbalance forces across multiple axes. It also includes a No-Mar Quick-Nut system, a cone package for passenger, light truck, and performance wheels, and heavy-duty construction.
