Merlo America has appointed Mike McBroom as parts manager, adding more than 20 years of experience in parts operations, inventory management and dealer support to its North American team.
McBroom has held a variety of leadership roles in the heavy equipment industry. He previously spent 12 years with Volvo Construction Equipment in Parts Technical Support and Customs Compliance positions, supporting dealers across North America and gaining experience in parts management, technical troubleshooting and import compliance.
According to Merlo America, McBroom will focus on strengthening parts operations and improving support for dealers and customers. Since joining the company in May, he has been developing strategies to optimize inventory management and expand parts availability.
“Our goal is to expand the range of parts we stock in our primary parts distribution warehouse in South Carolina, ensuring we have the capacity to support the growth of Merlo’s versatile product range,” says Mike. “Currently, my focus is on reviewing our inventory profile and identifying opportunities to enhance the available warehouse space, allowing us to strengthen parts availability and provide even greater support for dealers. Ultimately, it’s about ensuring our dealers have quick and reliable access to the parts they need to keep their customers productive.”

Cole Renken, general manager of Merlo America, said McBroom's experience working with equipment manufacturers, dealers and customers will help support the company's continued growth.
“Mike’s experience across both with multiple equipment manufacturers and managing dealer and customer business is what sets him apart. That perspective gives him a unique understanding of the needs of both our dealers and the end users, making him an outstanding addition to the Merlo America team. Since joining the business, he has already brought fresh ideas and a clear strategic vision for our parts operations, and I’m excited to see those plans continue to take shape,” shares Renken.
Merlo America said it remains focused on enhancing customer support and parts availability across North America.
