OTR Engineered Solutions launched TrackIQ, an AI-assisted platform for custom rubber track design, at Equip Expo 2026. The technology combines artificial intelligence with the company's engineering expertise and customer input to accelerate track concept development for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors.

According to OTR, a design process that previously could take months can now be completed in as little as one day.

TrackIQ allows OTR engineers to work with customers in real time, incorporating aesthetic and performance requirements into 3D track concepts for review. The platform also generates trade-off analyses that compare tread patterns across several performance criteria, including traction, ride quality, handling, and durability.

Once a concept is selected, OTR engineers build a physical 3D representation of the track for customer review and final approval before prototype tooling begins.

“With TrackIQ, we are harnessing the power of AI to transform track development into a faster, more collaborative, and customer-focused process,” said Patrick Sexton, global vice president of engineering, innovation, and quality at OTR Engineered Solutions. “The platform enables us to work with customers in real time, incorporate their aesthetic and performance requirements, and rapidly generate 3D track concepts for immediate review and evaluation.”

TrackIQ is part of OTR's expanding AI-assisted design and engineering capabilities. The platform joins TreadIQ, the company's AI-assisted tire concept design technology, and OTR3DLab, its large-scale physical prototyping capability. Together, the technologies support the development and evaluation of application-specific tire and track concepts.

“TrackIQ is our newest solution in a growing family of innovations, reinforcing our mission to develop high-quality products that deliver measurable results,” said Oscar Torres, CEO of OTR Engineered Solutions. “It reflects our forward-thinking approach and our continuous commitment to applying technology in practical ways that make our customers’ lives easier.”

OTR provides off-the-road tire, wheel, and track solutions for OEMs and aftermarket customers in construction, lawn and garden, powersports, agriculture, forestry, mining, material handling, and specialty vehicle markets. The company operates more than 30 facilities and warehouse locations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
