OZ Lifting Products LLC has expanded its product lineup with a new family of stainless steel davit cranes, components and accessories designed for corrosive, sanitary and wash-down applications. The products will be available beginning June 1.

The launch includes the Stainless 850 and Stainless 1500 Davit Cranes, rated at 850 pounds and 1,500 pounds capacity, respectively. The cranes become the company’s seventh davit family and are offered as complete stainless systems with compatible bases, winches and accessories.

According to the company, the cranes are constructed from Type 304 stainless steel and are intended for industries requiring durability in harsh or highly regulated environments. Applications include food processing, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, manufacturing, mining, aerospace, electronics, textiles and chemical processing.

Steve Napieralski, president at OZ Lifting, said the launch addresses long-standing demand for stainless steel lifting systems in industries where moisture, chemicals and sanitation requirements can affect equipment longevity.

“Back when I first started attending WEFTEC [Water Environment Federation’s Technical Exhibition & Conference] in the late 80s, it was a real eye-opener. I kept hearing the same question, ‘Does that davit crane come in stainless?’ At the time, the answer was almost always, ‘No’. Stainless steel was just too cost-prohibitive, so options were limited or fully custom. But the need was clear. These environments are tough… constant moisture, harsh chemicals, tight spaces… and people needed something durable, portable and built to handle it. That stuck with me over the years. We saw a real gap there, not just in wastewater, but across industries like food processing, cleanrooms and marine applications. This launch is our answer to a question that’s been asked for decades.”

The stainless steel cranes are compatible with existing OZ davit crane systems, allowing customers to mix stainless and standard components as needed and expand equipment without replacing complete systems.

Napieralski added: “Where customers have previously been forced into custom or suboptimal solutions, we now have a full stainless steel davit crane and component offering. Designed to our modular, application-focused approach, one crane can be used across multiple base installations, reducing downtime when moving between work areas.”

OZ Lifting said the Stainless 850 and 1500 Davit Cranes are load tested to 125% of rated capacity and meet NSF H1 food-grade standards. The lineup includes supporting accessories such as pedestal, wall and socket bases, rope assemblies, backing plates, mast extensions, wire rope holders and manual brake winches.

Other product features include an electropolished finish for corrosion resistance and cleaning, a 2.5:1 safety factor, integrated Weston brake, drill drive winch and tool-free assembly with a quick-connect pin system. Optional AC- and DC-powered winches are available.

The new stainless steel davit crane line will be available starting June 1.
