PALFINGER has expanded its North American service network with the opening of a 177,000-square-foot Parts Distribution Center in Huntley, Illinois.
The facility stocks more than 60,000 spare parts for the company’s lifting and access product lines, including aerial devices, service cranes, truck-mounted forklifts and refuse loaders. It is expected to process up to 75,000 shipments annually through PALFINGER’s logistics partner, L.I.T.
“Service is a growth driver for PALFINGER, and North America is one of our important markets,” said PALFINGER CEO Andreas Klauser. “The Huntley facility is a major investment in keeping our customers up and running. It’s about speed, reliability and demonstrating our commitment and confidence to this region.”
The Huntley facility uses an AutoStore robotic picking system to increase efficiency and accuracy in parts delivery. Company officials said the investment complements PALFINGER’s growing online ordering system and ongoing service initiatives such as virtual reality training and mobile service expansion.
“The new Huntley facility demonstrates how focusing on service and finding ways to better support customers are key strategies for us in North America,” said Ismael Daneluz, vice president of sales and service for North and Latin America. “Our focus is simple: get customers what they need, when they need it and keep their equipment working at peak performance.”
PALFINGER’s long-term goal is to expand its North American presence and establish itself as the region’s leading provider of lifting solutions.
