Sinoboom has launched updated AB18J Plus and AB18EJ Plus boom lifts, introducing enhancements to performance, capacity and operating flexibility for aerial work platform applications.
The upgraded machines feature a maximum platform height of 60.96 feet (18.58 meters) and increased loading capacity of 551.16/749.57 pounds (250/340 kilograms) across both diesel and electric models. The AB18J Plus offers a horizontal reach of 39.37 feet (12 meters), while the AB18EJ Plus provides 35.1 feet (10.7 meters), with both models delivering an up-and-over clearance of 26.18 feet (7.98 meters).
Continuous 360-degree rotation allows for positioning without moving the chassis, supporting efficient operation in constrained work environments.
The electric AB18EJ Plus includes a 500-ampere-hour battery upgrade designed to extend runtime, with an optional range extender available to further increase working time. Optional configurations also include 4WDx4WS for enhanced performance in off-road conditions.
Standard features include full-time active oscillation in both stowed and lifting modes, 40% gradeability and a maximum working angle of 5 degrees, supporting operation on uneven terrain.
Built on the same platform as the AB22J Plus, the machines are designed for transport via container or flatbed truck, which may assist fleet operators in managing logistics.
“The upgraded AB18J Plus and AB18EJ Plus now incorporate features that make life easier both for operators and rental owners. The high loading capacity and expanded working envelope make work more efficient, and the greater battery capacity of the AB18EJ Plus equals even greater reliability. Our optional extras provide additional flexibility for fleet operators, depending on their customer base’s requirements, meaning they can refine and streamline their inventory,” said Simon Sun, chief design engineer of Sinoboom R&D Center.
According to the company, the upgraded models are positioned for rental fleets and are available for markets including Europe, North America and Australasia.
