At the 2017 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) show in Louisville, Ky., from Oct. 3-5, Snorkel's exhibit featured an A46JRT articulating boom lift equipped with a special package of features designed for the utility industry.

The utility specification Snorkel A46JRT rough-terrain lift features a Kubota V1505 diesel engine, a 2kW AC generator, two grounding loops, and a 5-ft. aluminum platform with a swing gate and Snorkel Guard secondary guarding system. The optional utility package can be added to most Snorkel boom lifts.

Snorkel originally developed the package to meet the needs of one utility customer, but chose to unveil the package to the electrical utility industry at ICUEE.

The Snorkel/Xtreme Manufacturing display also included a 12,000-lb.-capacity Xtreme XR1255 telehandler with a maximum lifting height of 55 ft., maximum forward reach of 38 ft., a high-pivot roller boom, and excellent rough-terrain capability. Like all Xtreme telehandlers, the XR1255 features 360° operator visibility from the cab, a integrated boom-mounted lifting point for suspending loads, and boom rollers instead of wear pads for minimal maintenance.

Rounding out the booth was a Snorkel S3219E electric scissor lift with 19-ft. platform height and 550-lb. platform capacity.
