Podcast: Behind the Scenes of the 2019 LLEAP Awards

Access Nation podcast

Ever wonder what goes into selecting the winners for the Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards, presented by Lift and Access?

Let me tell you, it’s a pretty big deal.

I recently had the opportunity to serve as a guest on the Access Nation podcast, hosted by Phil Duane, owner of Schempp Wholesale Re-rent. Duane, who draws on his experience in the access equipment rental industry with roles at Snorkel, Altec, and JLG, asked me about the LLEAP Awards’ process, including:

  • How does a product qualify?
  • Who are the judges and how are they picked?
  • What makes a product stand out?
  • Which products are among the finalists this year?

I had a blast sharing these insights about the competition, now in its 14th year, and discussing why I get so excited about it during my discussion with Duane, who started the Access Nation podcast to bring attention to important topics in the access equipment industry in a fun, engaging format.

You can listen to our conversation and other episodes here or on Apple Podcasts, Spotfiy, or Stitcher.

And don’t forget to check out the winners of the 2019 LLEAP Awards in the November-December 2019 issue of Lift and Access, available soon.
