Palfinger Distributor Changes Name

TIFFIN, Ohio - Palfinger announced that its distributor PalFleet Truck Equipment  Company has been renamed to Palfinger USA LLC. 

PalFleet formed in 2010 by integrating the Palfinger Group’s Tiffin Loader Crane Co. with Omaha Standard Distribution, after acquiring it in 2008. Today, their various locations across the United States offer sales and service support for the Palfinger portfolio.

Though the name is shifting from PalFleet to Palfinger, all core elements will  remain the same. The purpose of the name change was to keep products, sales, and service under one brand.

New Case Construction Equipment Vice President to Oversee North America

RACINE, Wis. - Case Construction Equipment named Michel Marchand as the new vice president for North America, replacing Scott Harris, who has taken a similar role at Case IH.

Marchand previously served as the regional sales director for Canada, and he will now oversee all Case Construction operations in North America.

Manitex named Jerry Monahan as the new western regional business manager.

Monahan returns to Manitex after 13 years at Elliott Equipment Company, most recently as the after-sales support manager. He brings nearly 30 years of experience with boom truck and aerial lifting equipment companies and a background in engineering, service, and sales support. 

He was previously at Manitex as a product support representative for two years, based in Georgetown, Texas.

The widest-in-class cabs are engineered with special mounts to reduce vibration. Seats offer independent suspension, and the split door opens a full 180°.

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Microcranes Inc. introduced its new hydraulic pick-and-carry portable crane, the ISO-certified M1 Global model.

The M1 Global design fits through 36-in. doorways, narrow aisles, and inside elevators, yet expands to boom up to a 22-ft. tip height.

Requiring no license for operation, it is rated at 2,000 lbs. (905 kg) and has a hook height of 20’3” (6.1 m). It is 30-in. (762 mm) wide and weighs 1,800 lbs. (816 kg) with 300 lbs. of removable counterweights.
