July 31, 2019 – EnerSys announced a restructure of its Motive Power chargers portfolio.

The battery charger offering is now organized according to performance and charging profiles, making it easier for the consumer to clearly identify the charging program required to meet their battery power demands. Each charger offers unique attributes to ensure the consistent delivery of outstanding performance for a variety of battery chemistries, battery sizes, and required charging profiles.

Two JCB apprentices won first place in the mechatronics division at the recent SkillsUSA national championships.

July 26, 2019 – Two JCB apprentices won first place in the mechatronics division at the recent SkillsUSA national championships.

Anthony Smith and Victor De La Cruz were tested in practical skills in pneumatic technology, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general automation techniques. Smith and De La Cruz now have the opportunity to compete in the WorldSkills championships held in Shanghai in the fall of 2021.

July 26, 2019 — JLG Industries Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and manufacturer of aerial work platforms, has been named the Cat Rental Store 2018 Allied Vendor of the Year.

Announced at the company’s annual vendor event, JLG was acknowledged for its product support and quality policy, ease of doing business with, and overall vendor satisfaction rate for aerial work platforms. The Cat Rental Store is a combined global network of 1,429 dealer-owned locations for Caterpillar and allied equipment, along with specialized tools to meet most jobsite needs.

Gehl Foundation Announces 2019 Scholarship Recipients

July 24, 2019 — The Gehl Foundation awarded $20,000 collegiate scholarships for two students beginning in the fall of 2019.

Anna Kiskunas, daughter of Manitou Group employee Steve Kiskunas, and Andrew Loehr, son of Manitou Group employee Thomas Loehr, are the recipients of the scholarships for 2019. Since 1966, the Gehl Foundation has selected outstanding high school students as recipients of this scholarship; the chosen students being children of Manitou Group employees in North America.

July 16, 2019 - Perkins has extended its Perkins Ecoplus range of filters with the addition of a newly designed oil filter. 

The Perkins Ecoplus oil filter has been fitted on the new EU Stage V Perkins Syncro 3.6 and 2.8 liter engines. Previously utilizing a spin-on oil filter across its engine range, Perkins has taken the opportunity to upgrade the filter as part of the design work undertaken on the new engine range. 

Doosan Bobcat Opens New Global Collaboration Center in Minneapolis

July 16, 2019 – Doosan Bobcat officially announced the opening of a new Global Collaboration Center in downtown Minneapolis.

The center will house some elements of the company’s global functions and provide a central meeting location to allow teams to work closely to accelerate innovation and collaboration.

This news follows Doosan Bobcat’s recent announcement of a global organizational structure and the appointment of global function leaders.

Technicians Troubleshoot, Perform Maintenance at Terex Utilities Service School

July 16, 2019 – Equipment technicians from Australia, India, Indonesia, Canada, and the United States received hands-on service training at the 35th Annual Terex Utilities Service School held in June at Lake Area Technical Institute.

During the three-day event in Watertown, S.D., 48 participants rotated through their choice of 18 stations. Stations included training on specific aerial devices, digger derricks, and auger drill models, components, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Serious Labs Developing VR Training Modules for IPAF PAL+ Certification
