The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Arlington, Va., has recognized the National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER), Mobile Crane Operator Certification Program.
“Associated Builders and Contractors is proud to offer its support to NCCER’s Mobile Crane Operator Certification Program as not only an independent verification of a crane operator’s skill and aptitude, but as an effective tool to help further educate and train personnel on safe crane operations,” said Kirk Pickerel, president and CEO of ABC. “We look forward to the benefits that this program will afford to ABC’s members and chapters, as well as the industry.”
NCCER’s operator certification program includes both written assessments and practical examinations that meet or exceed current ASME B30.5 consensus safety standards and OSHA 29 CFR part 1926. The written assessments and practical examinations combine for 13 equipment-specific certifications. Tests results are available in fifteen minutes after submission with no rush fees. NCCER, Gainesville, Fla., tracks type and capacity for all mobile crane operator certifications which can be administered at any NCCER endorsed accredited assessment center.
This program is both ANSI-accredited and OSHA-recognized.
