AmQuip Corp. Acquires Shaughnessy Crane from NES

AmQuip Corp., Bensalem, Pa., announced it has acquired Boston, Mass.-based Shaughnessy Crane Services from NES Rentals Holdings, Inc. Shaughnessy/AmQuip will offer a complete line of cranes in New England, ranging from 6- to 600-ton capacities, and will remain headquartered at its current location in Boston.

"We can now offer our customers a local team of crane experts and locally based 'taxi cranes,' as well as rough-terrain, crawler, and tower cranes throughout the region," said Harry "Spunk" Milligan, vice president of Shaughnessy/AmQuip.

Joseph L. Wesley, owner of AmQuip Corp, said, "Shaughnessy Crane and the Shaughnessy family have been leaders in our industry for generations." He also noted that AmQuip is honored to welcome Shaughnessy's operators and crane professionals into the fold.

Acting as advisor to AmQuip in the transaction is Michael A. Carraza, managing director of Bard Capital Group. The group also is assisting AmQuip with the operational integration of Shaughnessy. Louis M. Rappaport of Blank Rome LLP provided legal counsel to AmQuip on the transaction.
