Barnhart Northeast Acquires Marino Crane

Barnhart Crane & Rigging, Memphis, Tenn., announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Barnhart Northeast Inc., has acquired Marino Crane, a 55-year-old Middletown, Conn., company providing crane, heavy lifting, transport and rigging services.

According to Barnhart Crane & Rigging, Marino now has access to one of the largest branch networks in the U.S. The combined fleet resulting from the acquisition now includes more than 225 mobile cranes, as well as heavy-lift cranes, slide systems, hydraulic gantries, Goldholfer platform trailers, and Barnhart's Modular Lift Towers.

"Marino's proud history of serving customers in the Northeast and across the country is now enhanced by an even brighter future with Barnhart," stated Shaun Sipe, Barnhart Regional Director. "The addition of Marino to the Barnhart team dramatically strengthens its commitment to the region and adds capability across the country."

In 2005, Barnhart entered the Northeastern region with the acquisition of the rigging and transportation assets of Hake Rigging Co., in Philadelphia. Barnhart Crane & Rigging has 19 branches throughout the United States
