CEO of Pike Corp. to Deliver Keynote at Electric Utility Fleet Conference | Construction News

Eric Pike, Chairman and CEO of Pike Corporation, will deliver the keynote address at the 2016 Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC).

The 63rd annual EUFMC takes place in Williamsburg, Va., June 5-8, 2016. This year's theme is Solutions for Managing a Progressive Fleet.

Pike Corporation employes more than 7,000 people and is made up of Pike Electric, UC Synergetic, and Power Contracting. The company is a leading national and international supplier of engineering, construction, and maintenance, and post-storm restoration services for the power and communications industries.

Eric Pike is the third generation of the Pike family run the corporation. He has been with the company for 26 years.

Among the other experts scheduled to speak at the conference are:

Pat O'Connor of Kent & O'Connor, Inc., who is legislative counsel to the NAFA Fleet Management Association. O'Connor will review current legislative and regulatory issues.

Kellen Shefter, manager of sustainable technology for the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), who will discuss the latest issues being addressed by EEI. That association represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies, 70 international electric companies, and 270 industry suppliers and related organizations.

Tony Crow, founder of the non-profit corporation INJAM (It’s Not Just About Me), will talk about the importance of safety at work and home. Blinded in an accident on the job at a power plant, Crow will share humor and real-life stories about how he is living as a blind person in a sighted world.

NFL Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Singletary will address EUFMC as the featured dinner speaker. He will talk about how to build a great team.
