CMCO Signs Up to Sponsor CRC Canada

Columbus McKinnon Corp. (CMCO) has signed up as associate sponsors for Maximum Capacity Media's (MCM) Crane & Rigging Conference (CRC) Canada, which will take place Oct. 12-13, 2011 at the Fantasyland Hotel, Alberta. CMCO is a global leader in providing products and application knowledge to help its customers lift, position, or secure materials easily and safely.

CRC Canada will provide opportunities to improve the management of crane operations before, during, and after the lift. Fleet and facilities managers, safety leaders, operators and riggers, will participate in sessions to help users apply new regulations; evaluate and safely prepare the work environment; hone inspection skills; manage and maintain equipment; and learn from colleagues and competitors.

The conference will focus on construction, mobile cranes, overhead cranes, hoists and rigging in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba; the North West Territories are addressing major growth in the oil, gas and mining sectors over the next 10 years.

Rob Beightol, director of market research and communications, CMCO, said: "Columbus McKinnon was the primary sponsor of Maximum Capacity Media conferences in Houston 2010 and 2011, and Chicago 2011; and we look forward to participating in this way again as they promote the sharing of information to a new audience in Canada. We have interacted with individuals at many levels during these earlier events, and we anticipate numerous educational opportunities as the MCM event portfolio expands."

Richard Howes, associate publisher and editor, MCM, said: "With a 135-year tradition, CMCO's continued support and sponsorship of our events is a huge endorsement from the industry of the quality we are building into these gatherings of overhead crane and hoist users. We look forward to growing and expanding with them."

MCM will also partner with All Canadian Training Institute Inc. (ACTi) and KOLO Holdings Inc. For more information, or to register, visit craneandriggingconference.com.
