Community Tree Service Inc., Watsonville, Calif., was recently awarded a 2-year government contract and decided to upgrade to a Terex T 340-1 XL 40-ton-capacity telescopic truck crane with a Tier 4 engine to meet current emissions requirements.
Community Tree Service bought the crane from Terex Distributor Bigge Equipment with assistance from Terex Financial Services (TFS).
Community Tree Service plans to use the crane for removing larger trees, as well as to remove trees from hard-to-reach locations. The company's crane operator holds a certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).
