Crane on Barge Tips over, Crashes Boom onto Yacht | Construction News

Stamford, Conn., May 2013—A crawler crane that was on a barge went out of balance and tipped over while pulling out damaged pilings at a marina in the harbor. As the crane tipped sideways onto one crawler, its lattice boom crashed down onto a 47-ft. powerboat valued at $120,000. The boom landing on the boat kept the crane from slipping off the barge and into the harbor. Authorities worked all day to right a crane. No one was injured. – www.stamfordadvocate.com
