Crane Boom Crashes onto Hood of Passing Car | Construction News

Gallatin, Tenn., May 2013—The driver and passenger in a car escaped with minor injuries when the lattice boom of a construction crane collapsed onto the car’s hood as the vehicle drove along an adjacent highway. The accident shut down the highway for more than five hours while crews removed the crane and filled the 5-ft. wide by 3-ft. deep hole the accident made in the roadway. OSHA is investigating.  - www.tennessean.com
