Crane Simulator Rodeo Winners Named

Last month, the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER), Gainesville, Fla., and North American Crane Bureau (NACB), Orlando, Fla., held a crane rodeo competition using a mobile crane simulator at Reach Expo 2010, Houston Texas. First and second place winners, respectively, were Mike Love and Trey Abel of BP Texas City refinery.

The winners are shown here flanked by Allyson Butts, NCCER, on the left, and Dana Jackson, NACB, on the right.

NACB offers training using crane simulators for mobile telescopic boom cranes, tower cranes, and bridge cranes. NCCER offers a crane operator certification program.

Reach Expo 2010, hosted by Maximum Capacity Media, Fort Dodge, Iowa, was held in conjunction with the Crane & Rigging Conference and Overhead Crane & Hoist Conference.
