Crane's Falling Load Block Injures Two Workers |Construction News

Wilmington, Del.—Two steel workers were admitted to a hospital in stable condition after being brushed by a 2,300-lb. crane load block that had fallen about 30 ft. The two workers were working on a platform about 40 ft. above ground when the block fell and brushed them on its way down. The men freed themselves from the platform and climbed down to the ground, where paramedics took them to the hospital. A mechanical failure on a crane is being blamed for causing the accident. – www.delawareonline.com
