Cranes Today Brings Lifting Experts to Singapore Conference

Cranes Asia, scheduled for Sept. 11-12, 2012, seeks to bring together crane owners and users, manufacturers and suppliers, regulators, and standards experts to Singapore. In 2012, Cranes Asia will take place for the third time. Highlights of the event will include a keynote case study on the Singapore Sports Hub, safety presentations by popular speakers Bryan Cronie and George Michael Hoyle, and an in-depth market analysis by expert analyst Stuart Anderson.

Cranes Today's regional conferences, Cranes Asia and Middle East Cranes, focus specifically on the region in which they take place, giving participants a unique chance to local concerns. Cranes Asia is the only lifting conference in Singapore organized by an industry-recognized publication or trade association. Since its launch in 2009, the program and focus of Cranes Asia has been shaped around the needs of the local market and feedback from conference participants.

“We’ve been developing Cranes Asia for four years,” says Will North, editor of Cranes Today. “I was delighted with the response from delegates last year, who broadly appreciated the range of expert, independent, speakers we brought together.  I am looking forward to a successful return of Cranes Asia in 2012.”

This year's program will be organized around four main sessions: regulation and standards; training and management; the regional market; and lifting technology. The program will include a series of short pre-break case studies of jobs in the region by equipment suppliers and owners, and an extended keynote case study of the Singapore Sports Hub project, by Bouygues' construction director Frederic Perez and lifting manager Jean-Marc Rannou.
