Inspiring Excellence in Utility Fleet Professionals, a comprehensive educational program that will feature presentations by fleets, industry experts, and manufacturers is being planned for the 64th annual Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference -- scheduled for June 4-7, 2017, at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Va.
The EUFMC board of directors develops the annual conference general session topics based on input from attendees. Member surveys also help develop discussion topics for the highly popular EUFMC Roundtables, in which fleet executives address common challenges by sharing best practices and working with suppliers to find solutions.
EUFMC’s utility equipment demonstration features more than 60 educational and technical presentations by suppliers detailing the design features, specifications, capabilities and benefits of their latest technologies for electric utilities, and an equipment show that is the site of over 60 displays.
In 2016, EUFMC attracted128 fleet executives from more than 70 investor-owned electric utilities, electric cooperatives and electrical contractors from the U.S. and Canada, including 42 first-time attendees. Also attending the conference were 325 representatives from almost 100 manufacturers and service providers.
Registration for EUFMC will open in January 2017
The EUFMC Board of Directors has announced a new Scholarship Program designed to give a fleet manager that has been unable to attend the annual conference the opportunity to come to EUFMC in 2017. Fleet executives eligible for the EUFMC Scholarship include those from an investor owned electric utility in the U.S. and Canada.
EUFMC Platinum Sponsors and the Board of Directors will nominate fleet managers for the EUFMC Scholarship. The fleet manager selected by the board of directors for the scholarship will receive a complimentary registration to the 2017 conference, four nights' hotel accommodations, and either round-trip airfare or mileage reimbursement for travel.
